The Origin Story Podcast | Emily Holden | Michelle Wolf's It's Great to Be Here
and announcing April's guest . . .
I laughed a lot in March thanks to Emily Holden. I saw her perform, either as a host or someone on the bill, a large handful of times, and enjoyed every single opportunity. I also laughed a lot at the special she introduced me to - Michelle Wolf’s IT’S GREAT TO BE HERE.
IT’S GREAT TO BE HERE is divided into three episodes, and two of the those are divided as well. I could pick a favorite, but why? I don’t want to poison the well if you haven’t seen it, and I really think you should. I’m now a huge fun of the special and will check out her other offerings as well.
Emily was a joy to talk to on the podcast. She’s only a few years into this comedic journey, and it was exciting to see how hard she works, how much talent she possess, and how far she’s already come.
I’m looking forward to continuing to follow her career and support her as I can. I hope you’ll follow her on Instagram and make it to one of her shows soon. I promise you’ll be glad you did.
Here’s links to our conversation on Apple and Spotify. I hope you enjoy it.
This month on The Origin Story Podcast, Eastern Band Cherokee Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle, author of the lauded novel EVEN AS WE BREATH, introduces me to the affecting WE ARE RESILIENT: AN MMIW TRUE CRIME PODCAST. This is a true crime podcast dedicated entirely to telling the stories of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) from the lens of three indigenous women.
I really hope you’ll read Annette’s book and listen to the WE ARE RESILIENT podcast along with me this month. Here’s the most recent episode.
Thanks for your time, attention, and support of The Origin Story Podcast. If you are so moved, please share it with a friend.
Best,
Michael Owl
